Sony Vaio Windows 7 Recovery Disk Torrent-adds FullSuper User A few days ago Super User published an article about how to make a recovery disk for the Sony Vaio VPC-ES1XD. After receiving feedback, we decided to republish this article with full information extracted from the torrent listing. This information includes the files that you need to download, as well as links to them The .iso file can be found at https://thepiratebay.org/torrent/9834639/Sony_Vaio_VPC-ES1XD%20Windows%207%20Recovery%20CD.torrent and has been verified by us. The files that you need to download are as follows: Note: Please check the DL link before downloading any of these... There might be some changes. Thanks.Step-by-step instructions: 1. Download all the files (Torrent link provided above). Save the .iso file and burn it on a CD using ImgBurn or preferably DeepBurner (These two programs work best with these images).2. If you're planning on installing Windows 7 on a desktop, we recommend you to choose a minimum of 4 GB RAM and 1 GB more than your current RAM (e.g, if you have 2GB of RAM, we recommend 4GB). 3. Download and install a USB/CD writer, and create a bootable CD (on a PC) or insert the CD into the computer and reboot (On some laptops, you can also insert the USB stick, but we haven't tested that).4. When Windows 7 loads up on system startup, press F8 to bring up Advanced Boot Options. If you don't know how to do this yourself, please refer to this guide: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Windows_Vista_Programs:_Boot_Options [Tutorial].5. Choose the following:6. Press Next and then "Repair your computer".7. Choose "Fast Startup" and then click "Next".8. Choose the following:9. Choose the Windows installation drive and click "Next".10. Choose "Command Prompt", and choose an administrator account (recommended). Once the computer reboots, you should be able to log in with that account and start fixing your system.11. Run ChkDsk /F to check for errors on your hard disk(s). 11a. If errors are skipped (because they were too small), run ChkDsk /r to fix errors.12. If you're using a Desktop, connect all cables (network, power supply) and reboot your computer; if you're using a Laptop, make sure everything is connected properly (i.e. don't mess around with anything) and press any key to turn off your laptop.13. Choose the following:14. Select the "Safe Mode" option and press "Next".15. Choose the Windows installation drive and click "Scan for errors".16. Click "Repair File System".17. Click on "Proceed" and wait for ChkDsk to fix errors. Please note: If you need further assistance, please ask us in the comments section below... cfa1e77820
